Kissable Lipcolours went over really well when they were released with MAC’s Peacocky collection and I missed out on them back then, so I was super excited that they released more of them with the Shop collection! They’re somewhere between a gloss and a lipstick… maybe more like a liquid lipstick? They glide on like a gloss and don’t feel sticky, but they have the intense color and coverage of a lipstick… Best of both worlds! These are very smooth and shiny, but not as glossy as a Lipglass. The color is not completely opaque, but almost. They wear well when worn with a lip pencil to at least line, if not also fill in with. With a lip pencil, I get about 6 hours of wear with these.
These are limited edition and some colors sold out quickly, but what’s left can be found at www.maccosmetics.com or at any MAC counter or store for $19.
There are a total of five colors of the Kissable Lipcolours, but I skipped out on Flaunting It, a “grey mauve” shade, as it was not very flattering on my pale complexion!
Enchantee: This Kissable Lipcolour is one of my newest day to day wear lipsticks. It’s a “light blue pink” and looks great on most skin tones. It reminds me a bit of a liquid version of the Viva Glam Gaga lipstick. It can be worn by itself, over a lipstick, or with a liner… I use Subculture lip pencil because it’s very natural and adds definition without much color, but you could also go with Hip ‘n’ Happy lip pencil if you want something that matches a little better.
Scan-Delicious: Scan-Delicious is a “blue fuchsia” color, so it’s basically a cool, bright reddish-pink. It’s the most bold color in this line and appears a bit more opaque than the other Kissable Lipcolours. You can use it with something like Cherry liner for a deeper color and more bold look, or the More to Love Pro Longwear lip pencil.
So Vain: This is a warm, “muted dirty coral”, that’s somewhere between a deep peach and light coral color. It’s kind of hard to describe! It looks good on all skin tones, but I especially like this on medium, olive skin. Of course, I wear this on my ultra-light skin, but it tends to look a little brighter on me! I pair this up with Summerfruit Cremestick lip pencil, Subculture lip pencil for a nude look, or Lasting Sensation for a deeper pop of bright coral.
Woo Me: Here is the nude shade for this line and let me tell you, it’s gorgeous! This is suitable for all skin tones and what I like best about this is that you can do a nude lip with one or two products rather than layering a gloss over a lipstick. It’s a “light pinky-nude” so it’s not the type of nude that will make you look washed out. It reminds me of a slightly deeper, glossier version of Blankety lipstick. I like to use Subculture lip pencil with this, although you could use something like Whirl if you want to make it look a little more pink. I wish I had a lifetime supply of Woo Me so I could have the perfect nude lip forever!
