There are four new Cremesheen Glasses that came out with MAC’s Reel Sexy collection last week… They are all pretty unique, however I only got two of them due to my budget and my preference for warmer colors at the moment. I apologize for not having Cinestyle or Colour Saturation to review.
MAC’s Cremesheen Glass formula is very nice. They aren’t sticky and feel lightweight on the lips while still offering great color payoff. They wear well alone or layered over a pencil or lipstick. When worn alone, I usually get about 4 hours of wear before I need to touchup… They do wear longer when layered over another product though.
These two colors are limited edition and have not yet sold out online or at most locations that I know of. They sell for $19.50 online or at any MAC store or counter.
Private Screening: MAC refers to this Cremesheen Glass as a “mid-tone peach”. It’s definitely a peach but it also had some nude and pink tones to it. It’s slightly sheer when worn alone, so you may want to layer it over a lipstick. I think it looks pretty awesome over Reel Sexy lipstick. Also, this color sort of settles into the lines on your lips if worn alone, so you definitely want to at least wear a lip conditioner or Prep + Prime Lip underneath Private Screening. This color is suitable for all skin tones.
Star Quality: Star Quality is a “bright orange coral”. I see some red to this as well, but otherwise that description is accurate. It’s semi-opaque and has great color payoff. It’s very warm toned and looks fantastic on everyone. Again, for some reason this Cremesheen Glass seems to settle into the lines on my lips, but not so much as Private Screening does. If I wear this alone I put on a layer of Prep + Prime Lip underneath to prevent that from happening. I also like to wear this over Watch Me Simmer lipstick!
