MAC Fashion Sets – Morange Lipstick, Lipglass and Nail Lacquer: Photos, Swatches and Review

Posted by

Fashion Sets is MAC’s newest collection featuring “sets” of matching Lipstick, Lipglass, and Nail Lacquer. The colors were chosen based on how popular these shades of lipstick are in different regions of the world. This set is featuring Morange, a permanent Lipstick and limited edition Lipglass and Nail Lacquer.

Morange products are available online and may be at some stores and Macy’s locations. It is part of the Asia Pacific, Europe/Africa, and Latin America/Middle East groups of Fashion Sets. These sell for the usual prices, with Lipstick and Lipglass costing $14.50 and Nail Lacquer selling for $16.00.

Morange Lipstick (Amplified Creme):   Morange is described as a “loudmouth orange”. It’s a warm, slightly reddish orange that’s very intense. Like other Amplified Creme Lipsticks the color payoff is great and very much opaque and this Lipstick feels smooth and creamy on the lips, wearing for around 6 hours. My favorite Lip Pencils to use with Morange are Entertain Me and What A Blast!, which is a Pro Longwear Lip Pencil.

Morange Lipglass:   This lipglass is referred to as a “bright cream orange”, which is perfectly accurate. It’s slightly more or a true orange than the Lipstick is (in my opinion anyway), and gives opaque coverage.

Morange Nail Lacquer (Cream):   Morange Nail Lacquer is just as bright and creamy as the Lipstick and Lipglass of the same name. It’s smooth and opaque with two coats. It seems like MAC has released quite a few orange Nail Lacquers this year, but it’s not quite the same as any of them. Morange is more of a true orange, where something like Oriele Orange and Kid Orange have more red to them and are deeper.

As with all MAC Nail Lacquers, I get close to 4-5 days of wear without much chipping or tip wear. With a topcoat like MAC’s Overlacquer, it will last closer to a week.
