Fashion Sets is MAC’s newest collection featuring “sets” of matching Lipstick, Lipglass, and Nail Lacquer. The colors were chosen based on how popular these shades of lipstick are in different regions of the world. This set features Razzledazzler, a limited edition Lipstick, Lipglass and Nail Lacquer.
All Razzledazzler products are available online and are part of the Asia Pacific group of Fashion Sets. These sell for the usual prices, with Lipstick and Lipglass costing $14.50 and Nail Lacquer selling for $16.00.
Razzledazzler Lipstick (Lustre): This is a “light creamy coral”. It’s a warm, soft type of coral that’s really pretty on light to medium skintones. Since it’s a Lustre finish, it has a glossy sheen to it and surprisingly (for a Lustre anyway) gives almost opaque coverage. I get 4-5 hours of wear before I need to touch up with this Lipstick. This reminds me of Flamingo lipstick, although Flamingo was a bit more pink. You could use a neutral Lip Pencil like Subculture with this for added definition, or if you have it Mouth Off was a nice one too.
Razzledazzler Lipglass: Razzledazzler Lipglass gives a thicker, more opaque coverage than the Lipstick does and it has a very thick, milky texture. It’s also a bit more pink than the lipstick.
Razzledazzler Nail Lacquer (Cream): This Nail Lacquer doesn’t quite match the Lipstick and Lipglass of the same name. It’s more on the orange to coral side. It gives opaque coverage after only two coats and has a nice, creamy consistency. It also has a glossier finish than some other Cream Nail Lacquers once it dries.
As with all MAC Nail Lacquers, I get close to 4-5 days of wear without much chipping or tip wear. With a topcoat like MAC’s Overlacquer, it will last closer to a week.
