Fashion Sets is MAC’s newest collection featuring “sets” of matching Lipstick, Lipglass, and Nail Lacquer. The colors were chosen based on how popular these shades of lipstick are in different regions of the world. This set features Rebel, a permanent Lipstick and limited edition Lipglass and Nail Lacquer. However, I did not buy the Nail Lacquer to this set as I already have very similar colors. Rebel Nail Lacquer is actually not a very good match for either the Lipstick or Lipglass.
Rebel products are available online, in stores at at counters, as it’s part of the North America and Europe/Africa groups of Fashion Sets. These sell for the usual prices, with Lipstick and Lipglass costing $14.50 and Nail Lacquer selling for $16.00.

Left to Right: Lipstick, Lipglass, Lipstick + Lipglass layered
Rebel Lipstick (Satin): Rebel is one of MAC’s all time most popular colors. It is a permanent shade but they really seem to like repromoting it every few months to make sure everyone knows about it… Probably a good thing, since just by looking at the product itself, it can seem kind of dark and intimidating.
This is a “midtone creamy plum” that sort of resembles a deep, intense purpley fuchsia (to me anyway). It definitely has some warmer pink/red undertones to it as well as blue/purple ones. It’s a hard color to describe but it’s really beautiful on all skintones. As a Satin finish, it’s got great color payoff and applied opaque with a nice shine. Rebel looks really nice when paired up with Currant or Half-Red Lip Pencil, or for a lighter, brighter pencil you could even try Magenta.
Rebel Lipglass: This Lipglass is a perfect match for the Lipstick in this set. It’s not completely opaque when worn alone and tends to look streaky at first, but once it warms up on the lips it evens out and looks quite nice.
