I was debating making this post since some of these are part of the permanent line, but I might as well since it goes along with the Beth Ditto collection. There are four lip pencils in this collection… Two that are permanent and two that are being repromoted and are limited edition (you may recognize these from both the Iris Apfel and Tour de Fabulous collections). The two limited ones are the more unique, brighter lip pencils, but if you can’t find these, there are similar ones in the Pro Longwear line, which I will tell you about!
MAC Lip Pencils typically wear for about 6-8 hours on me. They are slightly dry but will only tug at your lips if you have dry or chapped lips and put these on without anything underneath. To get the smoothest possible application, you want to apply them over something like Prep + Prime Lip or Lip Conditioner. I like to line my lips first, then fill in a little bit so the lipstick you put over it wears even longer! These are all available online at www.maccosmetics.com or at your nearest MAC counter or store. Lip Pencils sell for $14.

Embrace Me: Embrace Me is a “vivid pinkish fuchsia”. It looks fantastic with any hot pink or fuchsia lipstick and goes very well with Dear Diary Pro Longwear Lipcreme that was also released with the Beth Ditto collection. Embrace Me is suitable for all skintones, as long as you like brights! If you cannot find this, More To Love Pro Longwear Lip Pencil is a pretty good dupe and is part of MAC’s permanent line.
Entertain Me: This is “clearly orange” and goes perfectly with Booyah!!! Pro Longwear Lipcreme that was released with the Beth Ditto collection. Entertain Me is flattering on everyone… seriously! It’s a true, bright orange and is similar, though maybe a touch lighter than What A Blast! Pro Longwear Lip Pencil that is part of the permanent line, so if you can’t find Entertain Me, that would be a good substitute.
In Synch: In Synch is a “bright yellow pink”, that, to me, looks like a warm, pale pink that can look even paler on the lips. It’s best on people with fair to medium skin, as it can make deeper skintones look washed out. This is part of the permanent line and goes nicely with Love Long Distance Pro Longwear Lipcreme Lipsticks that came out with the Beth Ditto collection. Tip: Since this is so light, it tends to look best when applied lightly using the side of the pencil, then blended out with your lipstick. You can also use this with You’re Perfect Already Pro Longwear Lipcreme from this collection, but you will definitely want to blend it with that one.
Nightmoth: Nightmoth is a “blackened plum”, which is a deep, warm, brownish-black plum. It looks great on all skintones, it’s just a matter of whether or not you like dark lips! If you don’t want it to look super dark, you can use the side of the pencil to apply it lightly, then blend it out with a lip brush. This looks great when paired up with Heart Hangover Pro Longwear Lipcreme from this collection.
