Swatchmas Day 19: Dose of Colors Marvelous Mauves Eye Shadow Palette

Posted by

On the nineteenth day of Swatchmas, I give you the Marvelous Mauves palette form Dose of Colors! I bought this palette a while back and honestly haven’t used it much until recently, but now that I’ve started playing around with it, I’ve fallen in love! It’s a great palette on its own, but it also works really well with their Pretty Cool palette, which I posted during the first week of Swatchmas. I will say that these type of palettes from Dose of Colors do NOT swatch well, but they’re wonderful eye shadows when you actually apply them with a brush. The coverage and color is meant to be buildable so you can get a look that’s soft to bold, and shadows like that just don’t tend to swatch super well. Despite that, hopefully this post wills till give you an idea of what these shadows look like on the skin.

You can purchase the Marvelous Mauves palette from, Ulta, and Naimie’s (also available in store at their location near North Hollywood if you’re in the Los Angeles area). From all three places, this palette sells for $32 and contains a total of 8.5 g / 0.3 oz of product, which is 1.7 g / 0.06 oz per pan. Dose of Colors is a cruelty-free company and this palette contains no talc or paraben.

If you’d like to keep up with I’m posting, testing and whatever else I’m up to, be sure to follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. You can find me @ lesley_makeup on all three platforms and it’s always nice to hear from you guys!

The five matte eye shadows featured in the Marvelous Mauves palette are:

  • Fluffy:   Milky pale pink
  • Rosy:   Light rosy pink
  • Wishy Washy:   Dusty mauve
  • Spaced Out:   Muted berry mauve
  • Wine Stain:   Blackberry

Swatches below are down by swiping the shadows onto my skin with one single swipe downwards.
